Letters from Boston 2023＋, #8 Small trip in Providence

みなさん、こんにちは！

昭和ボストンで、BAP(Boston Academic Program)に参加しているビジネスデザイン学科2年の中津川千聖です。本日は昭和ボストンがあるマサチューセッツ州の隣の州にあるプロビデンスという街について紹介いたします。

Hi! I’m Chisato Nakatsugawa, from the department of Business Design. I am a sophomore, and I participate in BAP. I will talk about Providence that is a city next to Massachusetts state.

プロビデンスは、ロードアイランド州の州都です。ボストンからUberを使って1時間ほどでいくことができます。街はとても綺麗でした。特に、ブラウン大学の近くにあるThe Providence Athenaeumは映画に出てきそうなほど綺麗でぜひ、皆さんも行ってみてください！

Providence is located in Rhode Island state. It takes about 1 hour by Uber to get there from Boston. The city was so clean and beautiful. I was most impressed by The Providence Athenaeum that is located close to Brown University. It looks like a movie scene and was really good!!

そして、私はブラウン大学に行きました。この大学は、エマワトソンが通ったということで有名な大学です。この大学はとても建物が綺麗で印象深かったです。ほぼ全ての建物がレンガで木や公園のようなスペースもあり、自然を取り込んだキャンパスでした。
 
We went to Brown University. This university is famous because Emma Watson went to this school. I was impressed by the buildings. Most buildings are made by bricks, and there are many trees and parks.
そしてこちらの写真は夕食の写真です。プロビデンスにはリトル・イタリーがあります。プロビデンス駅から歩いて約25分です。途中には可愛い雑貨屋さんがたくさんあり、観光しつつ向かいました。そして私が注文したのはナスとトマトのじゃかいもニョッキです。ボストンにもノースエンドというところにイタリアンレストランがありますが、行ったことがないので今度行きたいと思いました。
 
This picture is dinner. We went to Little Italy in Providence. It takes about 25 minutes by walk from Providence station. In this way, there are many cute general stores, so it was fun. Then I ordered Potatoes Gnocchi with Eggplant and Tomatoes. It was so good, so I want to go to little Italy in Boston called North End. Because I never been there.
