Letters from Boston 2023＋, #2 Fall Semester is coming!

みなさん、こんにちは！
昭和ボストンで、BAP(Boston Academic Program)に参加しているビジネスデザイン学科2
年の中津川千聖です。9月11日から後期の授業が始まりました。
Hi! I’m Chisato Nakatsugawa, from the department of Business Design. I am a sophomore, and I
participate in BAP. Fall semester started on September 11 th .
本日は、専門科目のAmerican Issueについて紹介します。この授業では、アメリカの教
育、文化などの問題について話し合いをするクラスです。前期では学ばなかった現代の
アメリカについて学ぶことができます。
I will introduce the American Issues class, and it is one of the specialized subject classes. In this
class, we discuss problems of American culture, education, and so on. We can learn about American current issues.

次に、私の平日のスケジュールをご紹介したいと思います。曜日によって違いますが、
私たちは1日に1-4クラスがあります。基本的に全てのクラスで宿題が出るので、平日に
課題を終わらせるように心がけています。空いている時間はTOIECの勉強、友達や先生
と話をしています。授業が早く終わる日は、外出に行くこともあります。

Today I will introduce my weekday’s schedule. Even though it is different depend on the day, I
have 1-4 class a day. Basically, we have homework in all classes, and I try to finish homework on
weekdays. When I’ m free I study for the TOIEC test, talk with my friends, and teachers. I
sometimes go outside on weekdays.

そして今週は今シーズン、ホームで行われる最後のレッドソックスの試合を観戦しまし
た。シーズン最後ということもあり、平日でしたが多くのファンの方が来場していまし
た。野球場のフェンウェイパークは、昭和ボストンからバスと電車で約30分、Uberを使
うと約15分で行くことができます。球場の近くには、ショップがありグッズを購入でき

ます。

This week, we had the last Red Sox home game at Fenway Park. So, there were many fans to see
the game. It takes 30 minutes by train and bus, or 15 minutes by Uber from Showa Boston. You
can buy official goods around there too.

結果は残念ながら負けてしまいましたが、吉田選手を見ることができて大満足です。こ
れから野球以外にも、アイスホッケーやバスケットボールが始まっているので観戦した
いと思っています。そして、最近のボストンはグッと気温が下がって昼は長袖、朝と夜
はアウターが必須です。
Even though we lost game, I was glad to see Yoshida. Now that it is fall, we can watch ice
hockey and basketball games. Recently, the temperature is decreasing in Boston, so we wear
long sleeves during the day and wear jackets at night.
