Letters from Boston 2023, #3 ボストンの有名観光スポット　クインシーマーケット&ハーバード大学

みなさんこんにちは齋田まりんです。
ボストンに無事到着してから約一週間が経ちました！
現在は授業も本格的に始まり、毎日充実した日々を過ごしています。
Hello everyone.
This is Marin Saida, a reporter from Boston.
It’s been about a week since I arrived safely in Boston!
Classes have now started in earnest and I’m spending my days in a very
productive way.

週末、私はクインシーマーケットとハーバード大学に行きました。

今回はこの２か所の魅力を皆さんにお伝えしたいと思います。

Over the weekend, I went to Quincy Market and Harvard University.

This time I would like to tell you about the attractions of these two places.

-クインシーマーケットQuincy Market

ボストンの中心近くにあるクインシーマーケットは、食事とショッピングが両方できる楽しい市場です。

Quincy Market, located near the center of Boston, is a fun market where you can both eat and shop.

クインシーマーケットはお店だけではなく、建物の中にはこのようなボストンについての展示物もあり、ボストンの魅力を更に知ることができるのです。

Quincy Market is not just about the shops but also contains exhibits such as the one about Boston, which will help you discover even more of what Boston has to offer.

お土産ショップではボストンならではのお土産やユニークな雑貨が沢山ありました！

In the souvenir shop, there were many souvenirs and items that are unique to Boston!

特に中央の建物にあるフードコートはボストンの名物がずらりと立ち並んでいます！なので、色々なお店を食べ比べすることができます。

私は週末に訪れたのですが、フードコートには人が想像以上に沢山いて驚きました。笑

もしクインシーマーケットを訪れる際は、平日をお勧めします！

The food court is located in the central building and offers a wide variety of Boston specialities!

I visited there on a weekend and was surprised that there were more people than I had imagined. If you visit Quincy Market, I would recommend going on a weekday!

名門大学として知られているハーバード大学。

ボストンの観光スポットとしても有名です。

私が人生で一回は訪れたいと思っていた大学にこの機会で行けるなんて思ってもいませんでした。

実際に行ってみた感想は、とにかく敷地が広く、一つ一つの建物が美しすぎました…。

Harvard University is known as a prestigious university.

It is also a famous tourist attraction in Boston.

I never thought I would have the opportunity to visit a university that I had always wanted to visit at least once in my life.

What was my impression when I actually went there? The grounds were just so big and each building was so beautiful…

大学のすぐ近くには「ハーバードコープ」があります。

ハーバード大学をモチーフとしたトレーナー、マグカップなどの雑貨、ステッカーまた文房具や本などがあり、とても充実していました。

Just around the corner from the university is the Harvard Coop.

There are trainers with Harvard motifs, mugs and other goods, stickers, stationery and books.

ハーバード大学には美術館もあります。

美術館の各階層、区画によってテーマが分かれています。

現代アートから古代の作品まで展示されており、フロアも大きいのでじっくりと見ることができます。

作品の作られた背景・時代を考えながらの鑑賞はとても良い経験となりました。

一階にはカフェもあり、素敵な空間でまったり過ごすこともできます。

Harvard University also has an art museum.

Each level and section of the museum has a different theme.

There are exhibits ranging from contemporary art to ancient works, and the floors are large enough for visitors to take a good look at them.

It was a great experience to view the artworks while considering the background and period in which they were created.

There is also a café on the ground floor, where you can relax in a lovely space.

ボストンに来た際は、是非ハーバード大学に行くことをお勧めします。

When you come to Boston, I highly recommend visiting Harvard University.

ボストン生活は見るもの一つ一つが新鮮で毎日ワクワクばかりです。

これからクラブ活動などさらに楽しいことが待っています。

その経験で学んだ事もこの記事を通して皆さんと共有できたらと思います。

Everything I see in Boston is new and exciting.

There are even more fun things waiting for me in the future, such as club activities. I hope to share what I have learnt from these experiences with you through this article.
