Hello, everyone.

This is Ayaka Koike, a reporter from Boston.

ボストンには世界屈指のコレクションが楽しめる世界的に有名な美術館があります。

ボストン美術館(MFA)です。

Boston is home to one of the most renowned museums in the world—the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA)

収蔵点数は約50万点以上あり、1日では回りきれないほどたくさんのアートを楽しむことができます。時代や地域も幅広く、歴史的文化に触れることができる貴重な時間でした。

With a collection of over 500,000 works, the MFA offers more art than can possibly be seen in a single day. The museum spans a wide range of time periods and regions, making it a truly valuable place to experience different cultures and historical perspectives.

また、ゴッホやモネなど有名作家の作品展示も充実しています。

I had the opportunity to see masterpieces by famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet, which was incredibly inspiring.

日本美術の展示も多く、アメリカにいながら日本文化の奥深さを感じることができ、非常に貴重な体験でした。

One of the highlights for me was the museum’s impressive collection of Japanese art. It was a rare and meaningful experience to be able to reconnect with the depth of Japanese culture while studying abroad in the United States.

美術館やアートが好きなので非常に有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。

As someone who enjoys art and museums, I found my visit to the MFA deeply fulfilling.

印象に残った作品は様々ありますが、わたしのお気に入りの絵画を一つご紹介させていただきます！

The many artworks that caught my attention, one painting in particular became a personal favorite.

↑ Samuel F. B. Morse, Little Miss Hone (1824)

こちらの絵画を描いたのはモールス信号を発明したサミュエル・モールス氏です。発明家になる前は芸術家だったことに非常に驚きました。

非常に可愛らしく、お気に入りの一枚です。

This painting was created by Samuel Morse, the inventor of Morse code. I was surprised to learn that before becoming a famous inventor, he was an artist.

It’s very cute and one of my favorites.

ボストン美術館には様々な芸術作品があり、多文化や多様性に触れることができます。

The MFA has a wide variety of artworks, and it is a space where visitors can experience multiculturalism and diversity through art.

留学に来た際は是非ボストン美術館へ行って様々なアートを楽しんで欲しいです。また、昭和女子大学の学生は無料で入館することができるので、この機会に是非、アートを楽しんで欲しいです。

If you study abroad in Boston, I highly recommend visiting the Museum of Fine Arts.

Also, Showa Women’s University students can enter the museum for free, so I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and immerse yourself in the world of art.
