Letters from Boston 2023, #1 出発まであと少しです！

みなさん初めまして。2023年度のボストン記者の齋田まりんです。

これから、ボストンでの留学生活について、このBlogを通して皆さんにお伝えしていきたいと思います！

I’m Marin Saida, a 2023 Boston reporter. I am going to share my studying abroad exprience in Boston on this Blog!

私たちはもうすぐボストンに出発しますが、２月に行われた出国式と、３月に行われた最終オリエンテーションについて皆さんにお伝えしたいと思います。

In this post, I would like to tell you about the departure ceremony in February and the final orientation on  March.

・出発式

学内のグリーンホールにて出国式が行われました。

学長から留学へ向けたアドバイスを頂き、ウィングリーダーや代表者による英語でのスピーチでは、留学に対する目標を改めて明確化することができ、モチベーションが高まる良い機会となりました。

The departure ceremony

The departure ceremony was held on Green Hall in Setagaya campus.

Upon the President’s speech and the student leaders’ speeches in English, my goals for studying abroad became clearer, and my motivation increased.

・留学渡航前最終オリエンテーション

ボストン留学渡航前最終オリエンテーションがZoomで行われました。

現地でお世話になる先生方とアシスタントの方々による留学出発日からのスケジュール等の具体的な説明を受け、一人一人の時間割表も配布されました。

出発まで残り数日なんだと更に実感が湧いてきました!

The final orientation before departure

The final orientation before leaving for Boston was held in Zoom by the teachers and staff of Showa Boston. They explained us about the detailed schedule of orientation after arriving Showa Boston, and each student’s weekly school timetable.

I realized that studying abroad is just around the corner.

もう数日後には私達はSHOWABOSTONに…！

現在は準備など大変なことが多いですが、とてもワクワクしています。

In a few more days, we will be in Showa Boston!

Though there is a lot of preparation, I am very excited.

これから皆さんに現地での体験をボストンから発信できる日が楽しみです。
