Letters from Boston 2025 #2 About Jump Start

みなさん、こんにちは！

Hello, everyone!

ボストン記者の、小池彩花、蜂須賀みりあ、原千夏です。

We are the Boston Reporters, Ayaka Koike, Miria Hachisuka, and Chinatsu Hara.

今回は、到着してからの約3週間の生活を紹介します！

In this issue, I would like to introduce my life in Boston for the first three weeks after my arrival!

まず、到着した次の日に、オプショナルトリップに連れて行ってもらいました！Natick MallというショッピングモールとTargetというスーパーへ行きました。

First, the day after I arrived, I was taken on an optional trip to a shopping mall called Natick Mall and a supermarket called Target.

到着して3週間はジャンプスタートという授業が行われます。

During the first 3 weeks of your arrival, you will have a class called “Jump Start”.

・Boston History and Culture

この3教科を毎日行います。Boston History and Cultureの授業では美術館やJPに行きました。

JPとはボストンにあるジャマイカプレーンという地区の名前です。

In the Boston History and Culture class, we went to museums and visited JP.

JP is the name of a neighborhood in Boston called Jamaica Plain.

ジャンプスタートを経て、アメリカの歴史や文化への理解が深まりました。これから始まる本格的な授業にも積極的に取り組みたいと思います！

After the jump start, my understanding of American history and culture has deepened. I would like to actively engage in the full-fledged classes that are about to begin!
